Our Sustainable Initiatives

Water Conservation

We've invested in state-of-the-art irrigation systems and are in the process of building a 1-million + cubic metre dam at Klipboschlaagte, ensuring optimal water security and usage. All projects, both explored and undertaken, are done under strict adherence to all relevant conservation and EIA regulations.

Employee Welfare

Sustainability is not just environmental; it's social. We ensure fair practices, wages, and working conditions for all our employees to sustain a healthy and fair work environment. We support and finance extra mural activity in cultural as well as sporting spheres. School Bursaries are available to qualifying candidates. Pre and post school facilities are provided.

Renewable Energy

We are constantly challenging ourselves to implement sustainable solutions in as many spheres of our business as possible. At present, we have partnered with service providers to install alternative energy systems at a few of our farm pump houses and Our first Roof sun panel project is installed and providing electricity to Lucerne Pack house, with an installation pending at our Arisa Pack house in Swellendam.

Organic Farming

Portions of our farmland are identified for future organic farming, eliminating harmful chemicals and promoting biodiversity as well as soil health.

Waste Management

From farm to market, we strive to minimise waste, with a focus on recycling and reusing wherever possible and by strictly accredited service providers.
